Netflix, one of the world’s largest streaming platforms, experienced a significant outage on Thursday, leaving thousands of users across the United States unable to access the service. According to Downdetector, a website that monitors online service disruptions, reports of issues began flooding in during the evening, with over 13,000 users reporting problems at the peak of the outage.

Users primarily complained about difficulties in logging in, streaming content, and accessing their accounts. The issue appeared to affect both desktop and mobile platforms, as well as smart TVs, disrupting streaming for countless households.

Netflix acknowledged the outage in a statement on its official Twitter account, assuring users that the company was working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. “We’re aware some members are experiencing issues with Netflix. We’re actively investigating and hope to have things back to normal soon,” the statement read.

By late Thursday night, many users reported that their service had been restored, though some continued to experience intermittent disruptions. Netflix has not yet provided details on the cause of the outage but promised to share updates as more information becomes available.

This marks one of the largest disruptions to the streaming service in recent months, as platforms like Netflix face increasing demand and competition in the growing streaming market. While the outage was brief, it highlights the reliance on seamless connectivity in the digital age and the impact such interruptions can have on millions of subscribers.
