Netflix subscribers in Malaysia will soon see a change in their monthly bills, as the streaming giant has announced a price increase for its Premium plan. The monthly cost for Netflix Premium will now be RM62.90, reflecting a RM7.90 hike from the previous rate.
The new pricing comes less than a year after Netflix’s last adjustment in February 2023, when the company reduced its Basic plan from RM35 to RM28 in a bid to make streaming more affordable for a wider audience. The latest price revision is expected to affect only Premium subscribers, who enjoy perks such as ultra HD streaming and support for up to four devices at once.
With the rising costs, Netflix users in Malaysia will need to consider which plan best fits their budget, as the streaming service continues to adjust pricing to meet business demands.
